Great Dining Experience

I have eaten at Dudleys many times. The service and food has always been excellent. The bar is cozy, the main dining room elegant but very comfortable. Highly recommend
This place is terrible!! Don't go!

I have been to Dudley's twice recently. The service is awful. The hostess was insulting, the waiter spilled balsamic on my date, the manager never came over to apologize to her, and the food was mediocre at best. I would not waste my time going to such a second rate restaurant.
- Pros: location
- Cons: everything else
Save your money and go somewhere else!

To be completely fair, I have only eaten at Dudley's for lunch. But I was so turned off with their food quality that I never attempted to go back for dinner.
I wouldn't call myself an expert when it comes to fine dining, but I'm definitely experienced. Service was okay; I had to ask for bottled water. The food wasn't worth the price, especially for an establishment who considers themselves to be in the "fine dining" category. Comparing Dudley's to Applebee's, it's great! Comparing it to other fine dining establishments I've eaten at, it's below average. Perhaps I don't fit into their target market? Food was more on the blan side for me.
- Pros: it's pretty
- Cons: quality, price
maybe this place USED to be good?

I recently dined at Dudley's with my mother. We sat outside which would have been very nice, except that the sun was setting in our eyes and we were placed at the only table without an umbrella. We ordered appetizers, dinner, and dessert. My mother liked her carpaccio but I was neutral about my bacon wrapped scallops. Dinner was terrible. I can't remember what we got, but it was not good at all (neither of us ate more than 1/4 and we had each ordered different things). Dessert was average (chocolate torte). Service was minimal and unimpressive. For teh prices they change, I expected much more. If your goal is to see & be seen (rather than to enjoy your food), this might be the place for you. Otherwise, I cannot recommend Dudley's to anyone.

One of Lexington's finer restaurants. Food is very good. Staff is very attentive like a fine restaurant should be.
- Pros: Food, Service, Ambiance
- Cons: Price
Real anchovies with the caesar?
by mikecq at Citysearch
The ambiance is very nice. You can select to dine inside or out. They actually serve real anchovies with the caesar salad. I have not seen this since leaving San Francisco. The food is excellent and service to match. A little pricy for the area but worth a trip. One of Lexington's best.
- Pros: Friendly service, Great food
- Cons: Pricy for the area
