I have never been a so called Japanese restaurant like this in the US. Atmosphere and service were good, but I was looking for good Japanese food. Tempura had too much crust, ramen noodle was overcooked and the worst of all, steamed rice seemed to be cooked long time ago and left in the jar for a long time and turned yellow. Nothing compares to the freshly cooked rice, white and shiny. Above all, my bill was too high for that food. I will never go back again.

Made reservations. Didn't need to.Wasn't crowded. The place was freezing. We couldn't even take off our coats and it was suppose to be a nice evening to celebrate Valentine's Day early. Service was real slow. We had to keep waiting for refills. The food was ok. The California rolls were delicious. We ate fast to them to get warm. I think next time we'll try a different Japanese restaurant.

Nagasaki is a restaurant that is a great place to go for a fun evening with friends, or on a hot date. It has Hibachi style tables, and private tables. The food is exceptional, and with the great service combined, it makes for a great evening. I would have rated this restaurant a 5-star dining facility if not for 2 items pertaining to their entryway. When you first enter, there is a very limited amount of space to wait for your table. Seeing that this is a popular restaurant, lines can be expected, but there is not adequate room for customers to wait. While standing in a throng of people in cramped quarters, I also noticed that there was one dead fish in their fish tank, and one fish that definitely looked sick. If not for these two setbacks, this restaurant would have been rated a 5-star by me.
