Not Impressed

Dawn ruined my hair. I had to go somewhere else to try to get it fixed and the woman was like a professional cut your hair?

She asked if the woman who cut my hair was mad at me or something, it was that bad.

I would ask to see the beauty school license, I should have!

I have been to a lot of places in Lexington like Planet, Posh, Seasons, J Allen Studio etc, I wanted to find somewhere I could go on the regular and this one was suggested by a friend who knew someone that was related to the woman who works there or something. Point is they said it was good.

I never considered that not having a first hand account would be so bad. I thought it was be really nice since it was a small salon, and the inside was pretty etc.

The service was very poor. I had to wait for a long time, Dawn did say she was sorry and that her appointment before me was running longer. Also, she was very fast with the shampoo portion and kinda rough, I could tell she was in a hurry. It was Saturday and I am sure there was someone after me. I can get over waiting, I cannot make my hair grow back.

I had a picture and everything. I don't expect perfect, but I hoped for even. I think this was her idea of layering? It is not mine, or any other professional hair stylist. I have had several correction cuts now, and I am still growing some of the pieces out, since it was cut so chunky.

Just terrible. It looked like I gave scissors to my child and let them chop away.

Save your money!

Not to mention I got on here to review another place and I saw where people who obviously know the owners of the salon have verbally bashed me for having an opinon. I think that makes the salon look very tacky. I am unsure if Michael is a good hairdresser and said nothing bad about him. I had an unfortunate experience with Dawn. I did not want a bad haircut, but I am certainly not going to spare a professionals feelings when this is their chosen profession. If you are having an off day, stay home. If you are in a hurry or running late let the person whose hair you are taking scissor to KNOW! Maybe there is an excuse for what happened to my hair, I'd like to know it. But I am reviewing this place from my personal experience and if one would like to take their chances, well you go on gambler, because my experience was horrid.

And if it was because she was rushed that is sad and people should know. Maybe she is a nice lady, but if you work with the public then that is who reviews you.

And it is unprofessional to have people review your salon well and then bash other reviewers with comments like maybe it was just your face. Very childish and sad and it makes Michael's Salon look petty and silly.

I'm very PICKY!

*Wonderful Review*~My hair dresser *here in lexington*has been doing my hair since I have been 15yrs old I'm 30 now. However, she had hurt her wrist & can't do much anymore & is getting older so I have had to find someone else. It just so happens my husband recently past away & was in need of my hair to get done for the funeral & one of my friends mentioned Michael's Hair Studio to me & I was stunned to find out the studio was very classy & a comfortable environment since I'm a very picky person.Dawn is the lady that did my hair she was very kind,sweet & up to date with her hair styles. I definitely will be back in the future. I understand people have their different opinions on things ,but when speaking your opinions at least make it truthful & not just posting negative stuff to get back at certain people cause thats not fair . People that come to these pages to get ratings on places should be able to get the truth if someone was displeased with their hair like the person said on here then how come they didn't complain about it to anyone at the studio .cause trust me if something isn't done right with my hair that person who did it will know. Thank you

Dawn and Michael are both really great people. I always enjoy going to Michael's hair studio. The studio has a very classy atmosphere also. Dawn has been doing my hair for almost a year now. Until I found Dawn I had always been the dreaded chair hopper that almost never saw the same stylist twice. I was always too impatient to make an appointment. I have changed my ways and I do not go anywhere besides Michael's hair studio. I have been more than happy with every single haircut. I have referred my cousin to Dawn for highlights and she was really impressed with that as well. I have never liked my hair better than I do now that Dawn has been cutting it. I highly recommend this place to everyone. You will love it!
