I'm Tommy Walters.....I was in an 18 month lawsuit and recently was awarded my name "FURLONGS" back for my restaurants.....I have not been in my restaurants since November 2008......I will be putting Furlongs in other locations as my previous partner changes the name of his location.......I truly apologize for any misfortune during these past 23 months and hope you come dine with me as my guest when we do reopen.......
Highly over-priced and poor service.
I have never paid more for less food in Lexington. My $21.95 Oyster dish had 4 small oysters in it and although it tasted great, I felt totally ripped off. The extensive wine list was impressive and at half off a bargain, but the food for the 3 of us was all 1/3 portion sizes for the prices.
The Service was slow and inattentive. We won't be back
terrible service..... We went there on Friday and got to Furlongs a little before our reservation so we went to the bar for a drink. The bartender was very rude and actually threw the menus on the table. He was complaining very loudly to everyone in the bar and was making rude comments about women. When we went to our table, the hostess tried to seat us at the table that was so close to the hostess station that we could sit there and touch the podium. Being that there were only 2 tables that had people at them in the restaurant, we asked for a different table. The hostess rudely responded, "well, ugh, what table do you want then?" After being seated, our waiter was ok but was too busy flirting with the hostess to refill drinks, take an order or ask if we needed anything. When he brought us the check, it was incorrect. To his credit, he caught the error and brought a new check before we asked for it. However, it took 20 minutes for this to happen. Definitely will not EVER go back here.
