Look elsewhere for deer processing
by Chevyman82 at Citysearch
I took a deer to Moore's to be processed as well as purchased a 'Freezer special" when I went to pick the deer up. Upon getting home I realized the deer meat was packaged very poorly and almost all of the packages had leaked blood. Some of the meat wasnt completely frozen which makes me wonder how long it has been sitting out since I dropped it off nearly 2 weeks ago. The freezer pack is a good deal, but the packaging is still poor and had to be repacked before placing it in my freezer. I will be looking for a better processor for my next deer.
Go get the freezer special!!

A friend referred us to Moore's Meats awhile back, telling about this "freezer special." You get 50lbs of assorted meats for $89.95! We ended up getting 100lbs and fully stocked our chest freezer. I am still amazed with it, thats like $1.79/lb for bacon, chicken, pork chops/steaks, hamburger, etc. You truly can't beat it. Oh and for the hunters out there, they'll process your deer for $75.
- Pros: Fresh meats and produce
- Cons: Non-locals may have a hard time finding it.
