The only game in town and their prices reflect it...
Kroger - a great chain of grocery stores with an excellent selection and easy navigation.
Versailles Kroger - The only large grocery in town and cost prohibitive to shop at. Most items are priced at least 10% higher others are as much as 50% higher than other Kroger stores just 10 miles away in Lexington. It's a shame that they will take advantage of the population that they serve.

Supermarket chain offers patrons well-stocked shelves of groceries and household products.. The Kroger Co. was founded in 1883 Ohio, by Bernard Henry Kroger. Since then the chain has expanded throughout much of the Southeast, acquiring several other grocery brands. Today, Kroger stores offer a wide variety of items, ranging from fruits, vegetables and meats to dairy, fresh-baked goods, housewares, beer and wine, books, magazines and flowers. Most locations also have a pharmacy and photo lab.
