Loved it. I loved it. I do not think at all it was a rip off as someone posted. I am willing to pay a little extra for great sushi, and mine was great. Very fresh. Probably some of the best in Lexington. I will be going back here many times for sushi.

A complete rip off!!!!. I went to Kobe for lunch today and will never go there again and strongly suggest that no one else waste their time or money. The atmosphere is a typical Chinese/Japanese restaurant. The service was not the worst that I've had but it certainly was not good. But truly the worst part of my experience was the price and the food. There was a large selection of specialty sushi rolls priced anwhere from ten dollars to thirteen dollars. I thought this was expensive but it has been my experience (and I have lived and eaten sushi all over the USA, France, and Italy) that when you pay thirteen dollars for a roll it has large pieces or it is of high quality this was not the case at Kobe. One roll had eight pieces but they were no bigger than a quarter, the other roll had only four pieces, that is $3.25 per piece of Sushi. The fish was very average in quality. Kroger has much better quality sushi. The miso soup was $2.00 and there was one pencil eraser size of tofu and the rest was broth. Overall between the three of us that attended lunch we had 32 pieces of sushi (very small pieces about half the size of a Kroger, Aqua, or Tomo piece), two miso soups, and a miso salad for $71.00. Like I said I don't mind paying $71.00 for a meal if it is a) a good quality and decently portioned meal, b) the food is impeccably prepared, or c) I am in a breathtaking atmosphere, Kobe fit none of these categories. They also brought our food as it was made instead of bringing it out altogether. At the end of our meal, noticing that we were still hungry, the waitress brough over a menu asking if we wanted to order more sushi. We left immediately and ended up eating at Chick-Fil-A just to fill the void in our stomachs after our $71.00 lunch. I never write reviews but I am so upset over my experience that I feel that others need to know so they do not make the same mistake. I cannot stress enough how awful this place is.

Sushi not very good and rolls are very small. I eat sushi fairly frequently in Nashville. I was visiting Lexington and tried Kobe. There is a wide selection of rolls however a roll over 10 bucks consists of 6 thinly sliced pieces. Would not recommend.
